The Museum of Zaporizhzhya Architecture was created
The Museum of Zaporizhzhya Architecture was recently created. Atmospheric, interactive, not “naphthalene.” It is assumed that the Museum of Architecture of Zaporizhzhya will acquaint visitors with the main architectural, planning trends and styles of the city.
Among those to whom the museum owes its appearance is Zaporizhzhya Scientific Society named after Yakov Novitskiy.
It is interesting that the largest image of a man in the museum is a photo of a consular representative of Prussia and Mecklenburg-Schwerin in Berdyansk Cornelius Janzen, placed in the exposition dedicated to Mennonite architecture of the region.
It is pleased to notice that according to the generator of the museum project, Mikhail Mordovskiy (who conducted the excursion), this image and the text to it appeared in the exposition because of the book by I. Lyman, V. Konstantinova "German Consuls in the Northern Azov Region", in which a separate section is devoted to Cornelius Janzen.
The museum is promised to open to the general public in November. Address - Zaporizhzhya, Gogol Street, 66.
