The purpose of the visit was to deepen and specify the areas of cooperation that were discussed on January 31 this year when the EU delegation headed by Peter Wagner, Director of the European Commission’s Support Group for Ukraine, arrived at BSPU. As we have informed, the EU's previous mission visited BSPU during a trip to the Northern Azov Region to assess the situation in connection with the escalation in the Kerch Strait and the Sea of Azov and to determine mechanisms for strengthening the support of the region, based on current programs of the EU and European financial institutions.
The Rector of BSPU, Igor Bogdanov showed the delegation the material base of the university. The meeting was held with the leadership of the university during which the possibilities of supporting BSPU projects by the European Union were discussed. In addition, there was also a seamless dialogue between the EU delegation and university students.
The guests visited BSPU Museum of History where Mr. Valdis Dombrovskis left notes in the book of honorary guests of the university. Professor Igor Lyman presented the book "German Consuls in the Northern Azov Region" to the Vice-President of the European Commission, recently published by the Historical Urban Studies Research Institute of BSPU.
