On October 12-13, 2017, the 6th International Multidisciplinary Symposium of Memory Studies (SIMEM6) was held at Benemerita Universidad Autonoma de Puebla. This year's topic: "Discourses of Memory in the Time of Forgetting". As in previous years, Dr. Victoria Perez became an inspirator and organizer of SIMEM.

BSPU and Research Institute of Urban History are co-organizers of SIMEM6.
