American-Ukrainian discussion panel on developing public studios at Ukrainian universities

On 12 July 2024, Professor Igor Lyman moderated an American-Ukrainian discussion panel on the development of public studies at Ukrainian universities, organised by Mariupol State University. Among others, the panel featured Timothy Standard, Deputy Cultural Attaché at the U.S. Embassy in Ukraine; Elizabeth Wood, Professor at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Director of the MIT-Ukraine Programme; William Dutton, Director of the Portolan Institute (Washington, D.C.); William Dutton, founding director of the Oxford Internet Institute and honorary professor at the University of Southern California, American expert in higher education Mick Mulley, and several representatives of the Ukrainian scientific diaspora.

Professor Dutton, whom knowledgeable colleagues call a master and ‘modern classic’ in the field of public communications, wrote an interesting and detailed blog post about our event immediately after the panel discussion, which I am linking to in the comments. Among other things, he mentions the Ukrainian Scientific Diaspora initiative.
