UOHA Conference "Oral History in Wartime: Scientific Knowledge and Researcher Responsibility"

The Ukrainian Oral History Association (UOHA) organised an extremely interesting international academic conference entitled "Oral History in Wartime: Academic Knowledge and the Responsibility of Researchers" in Uzhhorod.

As part of the conference, Ihor Lyman had the honour of moderating the English-language panel (speakers: Natalia Khanenko-Friesen (Edmonton, Canada) and Nataliya Borys (Fribourg, Switzerland) and Ukrainian-language (Katarzyna Krakowska, Inna Manchak (Warsaw, Poland), Kateryna Petrova (Zaporizhia, Ukraine), Oleksandr Mushynka (Prešov, Slovakia)) panel "An Oral History of Displaced Persons' Experiences", and also gave a presentation entitled "Being in the respondent's shoes: the researcher as (co-)creator of oral history testimony" at a panel skillfully moderated by Gelinada Hrynchenko.
