Research Institute of Urban History and Department of History and Philosophy of BSPU were co-organized the International scientific-practical conference "British Addresses of Southern Ukraine", which was held on November 26, 2021.
Professors of BSPU Igor Lyman and Viktoria Konstantinova, graduate student Yana Tarverdova, which were members of organizing committee of conference, were presented reports «British Consuls in Berdyansk: Connecting Regions and Countries» and «British Consul-General in Odessa Gerald Raoul Perry (1883–1888)».
The conference was dedicate to the 260th anniversary of the Englishman Thomas. Well-known Koblevo was named after him.
The event turned out mostly not even historical-tourist, but tourist-historical. After all, among coorganizers of the conference were Department of Local History and Tourism of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, Public Association "Association of Tourism Leaders of Mykolaiv region", Association of inbound tour operators of Ukraine and others. But this is more interesting!
