On May 14-15, 2021, an international scientific seminar "In Search of the Face of the City: Practices of the Self-Representation of Multinational Cities in the Industrial and Post-Industrial Era " was held.
The debaters were researchers from Ukraine, Germany and Poland. The work of the seminar was held within the framework of five panels: "Urbanism: New Horizons", "Metaphorical City", "Personified City", "Symbolic City" and "Vernacular City".
The objectives of the seminar were to summarize the results of the CityFace project (https://cityface.org.ua/), as well as to discuss in detail the texts of the sections of the collective monograph “In Search of the City Face”, which is being prepared within the framework of this project. The monograph will include the text of professors V. Konstantinova and I. Lyman "Institutionalization of urban history studies in Ukraine: problems and prospects".
