In 2012 the Zaporizhzhya Scientific Society named after Yakov Novytskiy celebrated its 15th anniversary. Specially for this date, on October the 18th, the Ukrainian scientific conference «IV Novytskiy reading» was held. Sergei Bilivnenko, the chairman of Zaporizhzhya Scientific Society named after Yakov Novytskiy and a member of Research Institute of Urban History reported about the main achievements of the Society: the editions of the 10th, 11th and 12th volumes of «Oral History of Ukraine» and new editions of «Sources of the history of the South of Ukraine». Doctor of historical sciences, director of Research Institute of Urban History Victoria Konstantinova presented the archeographic edition «Peasants and a city: the phenomenon of urbanization processes in perception of peasant tradition (materials of historical and archaeographical expeditions in Northern Pryazovia» and the main directions of Research Institute of Urban.
