New per-review journal on urban studies appeared in Ukraine

The first issue of “City: History, Culture, Society” has been published (http://mics.org.ua/?p=41).
The peer-reviewed journal is aimed at advancing urban studies, its institutionalization in Ukraine, as well as networking development with regard to the researchers specializing in urban studies in and outside Ukraine. The periodical is expected to provide a platform for interdisciplinary discussions in order to establish any possible collaborative research with of experts from different fields of the humanities.
All papers are subject to rigorous peer (external anonymous, or double-blind) review. The selection criteria for papers’ publication are based on accuracy, meeting the standards for a given discipline, appropriate academic quality, relevance to the journal’s guidelines, peers’ positive feedback.
Director of the Research Institute of Urban History Victoria Konstantinova is a member of Advisory board of the journal.
In the first issue she published the article "“NATIONAL HISTORIES” OF MULTIETHNIC CITIES OF THE SOUTHERN UKRAINIAN FRONTIER AT THE IMPERIAL PERIOD" and prepared together with Igor Lyman review "RESEARCH INSTITUTE OF URBAN HISTORY".
