The project “Modernization of the university’s links with the school in the organization of scientific activities: the implementation of the Polish experience” will be implemented in Berdyansk

November 5-30, 2018 the first stage of the project “Innovative University and Leadership. Phase IV: Communication Strategies and University-School Communications” took place in Warsaw and Krakow.

The main idea of the project is to identify and train potential leaders from the cohort of university managers who are capable of creating new strategies for modernizing Ukrainian universities and are ready to take the initiative and responsibility.

The initiator and inspirer of the project is Taras Finikov - President of the International Charitable Foundation "International Foundation for Educational Policy Research". The project is supported by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Poland, the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and under the honorary patronage of the Foundation of Polish Rectors. The co-organizers from the Polish side were the University of Warsaw, the Jagiellonian University, the Artes Liberales Foundation; from the Ukrainian side - the International Charitable Foundation "International Foundation for Educational Policy Research", the Union of Rectors of Higher Educational Institutions of Ukraine.

The competition for participation in the project was 4.5 people per place. Among others, Igor Lyman, a professor of Berdyansk State Pedagogical University, passed this selection.

On November 30, 2018, with the participation of Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine Yurii Rashkevych, President of the International Charitable Foundation "International Foundation for Educational Policy Research" Taras Finikov, and the dean of “Artes Liberales” Robert Sucharski, there was a presentation of micro-projects developed by the participants to improve the work of their universities, academic centers or the entire system of higher education of Ukraine. Igor Lyman presented the project “Modernization of the university’s links with the school in the organization of scientific activities: the implementation of the Polish experience”, which will be implemented on the basis of BSPU.

Taras Finikov stressed that he personally and the representatives of the project at the Ministry of Education and Science will help for implementation of the presented micro-projects.
